FFA sign up sheets are posted in Mrs. Mann’s room for members planning to attend MFE Conference in Kearney or to play basketball against Verdigre FFA.

Attention football players: If you want a highlight tape – bring $15.00 on Monday and pick up your tape. If you want a DVD – let Coach Hoffman know – cost is still $15.00. Also, Individual Runner-Up Trophies are in. If you ordered one you may pick them up – cost is $35.00.

All juniors wishing to participate for Girls’ or Boys’ State should sign-up in the office by February 10.

ALL SENIORS: Please turn in PDA forms with pictures for the Yearbook. If you haven’t received a form – please contact Ashley or Racheal ASAP.

There will be JH girls’ & boys’ basketball games here with Randolph at 6 p.m. today. Girls “A” team will play a full game and the “B” team 20-minute running clock after the “A” game. The boys will follow the same format.

There will be a wrestling meet today at 1 p.m. in Plainview.

NENAC Basketball Tournament will be held from Saturday, January 31st – Friday, February 6th. Crofton girls will play Bloomfield at 8 p.m. Saturday, January 31st in Creighton – Crofton boys will play Laurel at 6 p.m. Saturday, January 31st in Plainview.

Wausa Speech Meet is Saturday, January 31st. Bus will leave at 7:20 a.m.

MONDAY:

FFA District Livestock Judging to be held Tuesday, February 3rd. Dismiss the following: Alex Filips, Justin Foxhoven, Brittney Lammers, Kyle Mueller, Megan Schiferl, Tyler Schiferl, Taylor Schumacher, Travis Schumacher, Jacob Siebrandt, Chris Thoene, Curtis Thoene, Mike Thunker, D.C. Walter, Greg Wortmann, and Morgan Wilken. Reminder to those members who will be livestock judging: official dress is not required for judging. However, juniors and seniors should bring it along to wear while giving oral reasons. While judging, coveralls, stocking hats, gloves, and boots are recommended. Will be leaving the school at 7 a.m. Remember to bring money along for lunch.

WEDNESDAY:

The Statewide writing assessment will be administered Wednesday, February 4th and Thursday, February 5th. Juniors will report to the commons 1st block both days. Eighth graders will report to the commons 2nd block both days.

THURSDAY:

There will be a wrestling meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Norfolk.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH:

There will be a Speech Meet Saturday, February 7th in Plainview.

There will be 9th girls’ & boys’ basketball games in Randolph Saturday, February 7th at 8:30 a.m.

There will be JH & JV wrestling meet in Tyndall Saturday, February 7th at 9 a.m.

The FFA Volleyball Tourney will be held Saturday, February 7th.

WARRIOR BALL will be held Saturday, February 14th from 9 p.m. – 12 midnight in the high school commons. Warrior Ball will be sponsored by the Booster Club and it will be Semi-Formal dress. It will be free admission – refreshments will be served and Prince & Princess will be crowned. Music will be by Kick’n Karaoke. Warrior Ball is for those in grades 9 – 12 and outside dates must be signed up in the office by noon Friday, February 13th.

The Crofton Power lifting Club took three lifters and a statistician Kelli Stallbaum to its first meet on Saturday in Lynch, NE.
DC Walter totaled 1020 pounds, Tami Walter totaled 725 pounds, and Hope Block totaled 550 pounds. All three lifters took first place in their weight classes in both the power lifting competition, and the Bench Press Contest. They received nice medals for each. Congratulations Lifters!!!

There will be a football meeting Wednesday during 1st homeroom for all 8th graders going out next season and all players not out for a winter sport.

There will be a FCCLA STAR work night today from 6-8 p.m. Anyone participating in STAR is welcome to come and work on projects. FCCLA STAR Parent’s Night will be Thursday, January 15th at 7 p.m.

District FFA Livestock Judging will be held January 27th in Norfolk. Any FFA member in grades 9 – 12 wanting to try out for the junior or senior judging teams should meet in Mrs. Mann’s room this Thursday at 12 noon.

There will be a meeting of all Senior FFA members today at 12:00 in Mrs. Mann’s room.

Mr. Sandvig has scholarship applications for the Wal-Mart scholarship. They are due February 1st.
