The library will be closed today during 1st, 2nd, 1st homeroom, and 4th block.
Attention FCCLA members: All those who are interested for running for Chapter Office – come and pick up an application in Mrs. Anderson’s room. They are due March 5th – no late applications will be accepted.
Any high school student who plans on going out for a spring sport and has not participated in a sport so far this season, you must have a physical completed and the Athletic Handbook signed before the first day of practice. If you have any questions contact Mr. Timm.

All cans of food for the “Kiss the Pig” contest must be placed in the staff box by 11:45 a.m. today. The boxes will be counted and the results will be announced in the commons. Anyone wishing to hear the results and watch the “winner” kiss the pig should report to the commons at 12:05 p.m.
Reminder to FFA members: anyone attending MFE today must have your FAS signed for 3rd and 4th blocks and turned in to Mrs. Mann before we leave.

FFA trivia and candy jar contest will be held during lunch today. Every class (7-12) will have a trivia winner and the person who guesses the closest to the actual number of pieces of candy in the jar will receive the candy. Everyone can enter both contests.

Dismiss the following: Alex Filips, Justin Foxhoven, Brittney Lammers, Kyle Mueller, Megan Schiferl, Tyler Schiferl, Taylor Schumacher, Travis Schumacher, Jacob Siebrandt, Chris Thoene, Curtis Thoene, Mike Thunker, D.C. Walter, Greg Wortmann, and Morgan Wilken. Reminder to those members who will be livestock judging: official dress is not required for judging. However, juniors and seniors should bring it along to wear while giving oral reasons. While judging, coveralls, stocking hats, gloves, and boots are recommended. Will be leaving the school at 7 a.m. Remember to bring money along for lunch.

JH girls’ & boys’ basketball games with Bloomfield will be played at 1 p.m. Monday in Crofton.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH:
WARRIOR BALL will be held Saturday, February 14th from 9 p.m. – 12 midnight in the high school commons. Warrior Ball will be sponsored by the Booster Club and it will be Semi-Formal dress. It will be free admission – refreshments will be served and Prince & Princess will be crowned. Music will be by Kick’n Karaoke. Warrior Ball is for those in grades 9 – 12 and outside dates must be signed up in the office by noon Friday, February 13th.

Attention football players: If you want a highlight tape – bring $15.00 on Monday and pick up your tape. If you want a DVD – let Coach Hoffman know – cost is still $15.00. Also, Individual Runner-Up Trophies are in. If you ordered one you may pick them up – cost is $35.00.
All juniors wishing to participate for Girls’ or Boys’ State should sign-up in the office by February 10.

NENAC Basketball Tournament will be held today – Friday, February 6th. Crofton girls will play Laurel-Concord at 8 p.m. Thursday February 5th in Creighton – Crofton boys will play Randolph at 6:15 p.m. TODAY in Plainview. Players’ bus will leave at 4:15 p.m. today.

FFA District Livestock Judging to be held today has been postponed until Tuesday, February 10th. Dismiss the following: Alex Filips, Justin Foxhoven, Brittney Lammers, Kyle Mueller, Megan Schiferl, Tyler Schiferl, Taylor Schumacher, Travis Schumacher, Jacob Siebrandt, Chris Thoene, Curtis Thoene, Mike Thunker, D.C. Walter, Greg Wortmann, and Morgan Wilken. Reminder to those members who will be livestock judging: official dress is not required for judging. However, juniors and seniors should bring it along to wear while giving oral reasons. While judging, coveralls, stocking hats, gloves, and boots are recommended. Will be leaving the school at 7 a.m. Remember to bring money along for lunch.
WEDNESDAY:
Athletic Trainer will be here Wednesday this week. Let the office know if you need to see her.
The Statewide writing assessment will be administered Wednesday, February 4th and Thursday, February 5th. A reminder that the juniors will be testing in the commons during 1st block Wednesday & Thursday. The 8th graders will be doing the same during 2nd block both days. Both blocks students will report directly to the commons and we will take roll. The test should take about an hour each day. Student will return to t1st & 2nd block classes when they are finished each day. Also, students need to bring a blue or black pen with them each day.
