Results of the Neligh Relays – Crofton girls and boys were both 1st.

Boys’ results: Discus – 1st, shuttle hurdles – 1st, distance medley –1st.

Girls’ results: High jump – 1st, shot put – 1st, discus – 1st (new meet record), triple jump – 1st (new meet record), 4x100 relay – 1st, field event relay – 1st, long jump – 1st (new meet record), and new school record in the triple jump – 34’ 6” – Natalie Stout.

Please join us at 6:30 p.m. for youth wrestling and dinner with varsity awards at 7:30 p.m. Raffle prizes will be raffled off during the wrestling. There will also be an exhibition match for new comers and for those who are unfamiliar to wrestling. Exhibit tables will be set up to showcase this years achievements.

District Agricultural Education Contests Posted on Sunday, March 21
Fifty-four Crofton students competed in the District Agricultural Education Contests in Norfolk on Wednesday, March 3rd. Congratulations to all of the participants for a job well done! All teams placing 3rd or higher will compete at the Nebraska State FFA Contests March 31st through April 2nd. As you can see, Crofton Agricultural Education students swept districts! The results are as follows:

The contest is entered first, followed by the participants, individual placings, and the overall team rank out of the 11 schools in our District.

Agricultural Mechanics: T. J. Harmelink - Machinery (5th) Jarod Nelson - Energy Systems (5th), Tony Pier - Environmental (GPS)(4th), and Alex Tramp - Structural (5th). 7th Place Team

Agricultural Sales: Dani Arens (2nd), Annie Goeden (1st), Cassy Petersen (3rd), and Jenna Van Heek (8th). 1st Place Team

Agriscience #1: Amanda Kube (1st Tie), Jared Mann (1st Tie), Ben Mueller (14th Tie), and Cody Zavadil. 3rd Place Team

As you can tell, Crofton's ag students worked very hard, and their hard work paid off! Congratulate the above individuals if you get a chance. Lincoln here we come!

Pierce Honor Band Members Announced Posted on Friday, March 12
Crofton had 5 students chosen by taped audition to participate in the Pierce 7-9th grade Honor Band on Saturday, April 3rd in Pierce. Over 190 students tried out from many schools, approximately 115 were accepted.

8 CHS band members will be performing with the Class 'C' All-State Bands in Omaha on March 20th at UNO.

Attention all boys’ basketball players grades 9 –12: Please turn in all of your uniforms no later than Wednesday. You can do it during homeroom or after school in Mr. Bailey’s room.

Boys’ golf practice for 9th grade only March 1st – 5th at the elementary gym.

All FFA members attending Districts of Wednesday need to pick up an FAS from Mrs. Mann today. Also, you will be leaving at 7 a.m. Wednesday – be sure and wear official dress – and bring money for lunch.

Attention FCCLA members: All those who are interested for running for Chapter Office – come and pick up an application in Mrs. Anderson’s room. They are due March 5th – no late applications will be accepted.
