On Friday, May 2nd, 1st and 4th block classes will be “flip-flopped”. Students need to report to their regularly scheduled 4th block class at 8:38am. In the afternoon, students need to report to their regularly scheduled 1st block class at 2:17pm.

TheDriver Education Enrollment forms are available from Mr. Hegge or at the office. Interested students must be 14 before October 15, 2008. Cost will be not less than $250 and could range to $275.

Thanks to all who participated in the March of Dimes Walk for Babies Fundraiser. The FCCLA Chapter collected over $330 and had 18 participants in the walk. This project was spearheaded by Kelsey Oltmanns, Stacey Mueller & Melissa Olson.

It’s time to sign up for Summer Softball – All girls wanting to play softball this summer will need to register this week at the city auditorium. Sign-up dates: Tuesday, April 8 – 7:00pm to 9:00pm; Saturday, April 12 - 10:00am to 12:00pm. Any girls under 18 will need to have a parent to sign their registration form. All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Fee $35.

Crofton Little League Baseball Sign-Up will be held Tuesday, April 8th from 7pm-9pm and Saturday, April 12th from 10am-12 Noon at the Crofton City Auditorium. Ages Kindergarten thru 14.

Congratulations to all FFA members who participated in the State Agricultural Education Contests and Leadership Skills Events, at the State FFA Convention this past week. Teams and individuals earning plaques and medals are as follows:

Livestock Management team – 1st Place! They also earned 1st place in Horse Management and 3rd in Poultry Management. In addition they earned a blue in swine, red in dairy, and whites in beef and sheep. Team members were Shelby Arens, Taylor Kube, Jason Loecker, Nate Merchen, Megan Schiferl, and Morgan Wilken. Individual Places are not applicable in this contest.

Knox County Right to Life Scholarship: Every Senior enrolled in a Knox County School, who will graduate in May of 2008, is eligible to enter with an essay for a $200 scholarship, which will be awarded at their graduation. The topic of the 1000 word or more essay is “Abortion and the Unborn Child”. The deadline for all entries is April 6, 2008.
